Maternity Photo Shoot

Just wanted to share some of the pictures we loved from our photo shoot! We recruited a local young photographer looking to add to her portfolio. They were taken in the nursery and in Hollis Gardens, Lakeland. Hope you like them!

Write to Peanut

Dear Family and Friends- We are asking you to take some time--whenever you can find it!-- to write to our little one. We will take your words and use them to compile a keepsake book for her so she can know what wonderful family and friends we have and how much she is already loved. You can email her at: babyverderame@hotmail.com Thanks, and much love to all!

It's a ...!

After weeks of waiting, we finally went to a place that offers 3D images and 4D ultrasounds of the baby. We were treated to the most friendly ultrasound technician EVER and the most incredible experience of our lives.

We found out that our once teeny tiny little peanut is quickly growing into a healthy, beautiful, little...... girl! We watched those long arms and legs wiggle and kick and squirm, counted the fingers and toes, and even caught a cute little smile as she touched her face!

This is so surreal yet so natural, and beyond romantic.

More still images will be posted, as well as the 4D video (as soon as we figure out how to do it!!!).

We're Pregnant!!

After learning the good news on Christmas Eve, we are so excited to announce: Baby V is on the way! Jess has had a pretty easy pregnancy so far: NO morning sickness (yay) but some fatigue, and the appetite of a teenage boy. We are now in the second trimester at 17 weeks, and most of the fatigue is gone. She feels fabulous! John is super happy and a wonderfully attentive husband and daddy. His nightly duties include finding the baby's heartbeat using the fetal heart monitor. It's so nice to listen in! He also rubs Jess's feet, puts cream on the belly, and makes the (half-caff) coffee each night. It's so nice to be next to each other in school. With our current classrooms so close - it is great to pop in and say hi during the day. Hubby comes by and pats the belly to say hi to Peanut and Mommy and sometimes watch Jess's class when she has to make a mad-dash to the restroom (one of her many trips throughout the day). This is such a fun time in our life! Thanks for coming along on the adventure.
